Night shift : 3x12-Hour (18 : 45 - 07 : 15) with every other weekend coverage required.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with a focus on Neuro Medicine within a Medical Surgical setting. The ideal candidate will possess team-oriented values and demonstrate a commitment to patient safety and high-quality care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient care for adults and geriatrics in a Medical Surgical unit with a neuro focus.
  • Manage patient ratios of 1 : 6-7 during shifts.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary support with various medical teams.
  • Utilize Pyxis and EPIC systems for medication administration and documentation.
  • Adhere to isolation precautions and ensure patient safety at all times.
  • Maintain professionalism and teamwork in all interactions with patients and staff.

    • Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • 2 years of nursing experience preferred, with a focus on neuro medicine.
  • Preferred certifications : ACLS, BLS; NIHSS certification is a plus.
  • Charge nurse experience preferred.
  • Experience in telemetry and management of dysrhythmias is desirable.
  • Must pass EKG testing prior to start.
