Veterinary Assistant Opportunity - Romie Lane Pet Hospital, Salinas, CA

At Romie Lane Pet Hospital , we're looking for a dedicated VA to join our growing team in beautiful Salinas, CA-just a short drive from the stunning Monterey Bay.

About the Role

You'll step into a general practice environment that balances clinical excellence with light-hearted team spirit.

We have a solid flow of loyal clients from the local communities and surrounding areas, and a team that's all about pulling together, pitching in, and making it happen - with a few laughs along the way.

What We're Looking For

  • Assist veterinarians and technicians during exams, treatments, surgeries, and dental procedures.
  • Prepare animals for procedures by collecting medical histories, taking vital signs, and maintaining accurate medical records.
  • Administer medications and vaccines as directed, and monitor hospitalized patients to ensure proper care and comfort.
  • Maintain a clean, well-organized, and fully stocked treatment area with properly sanitized instruments and supplies.
  • Support client communication and education by explaining treatment plans, post-procedure care, and medication instructions clearly.
  • Ability to work M-F, 8am-5pm or 8 : 30-5 : 30 or 9-6 (flexible)
