Job Summary (List Format) : Director of Emergency Services & Short Stay Observation Unit (ED & SSOU)

\n- Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Emergency Department and Short Stay Observation Unit.

\n- Ensure delivery of high-quality, patient-centered clinical care.

\n- Drive quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives.

\n- Oversee day-to-day operations, including resource allocation, staffing, and budget management.

\n- Lead, mentor, and support interdisciplinary teams to foster a positive and collaborative culture.

\n- Collaborate with medical staff, nursing leadership, and ancillary departments to achieve patient care goals and maintain regulatory compliance.

\n- Champion efforts to improve patient satisfaction and team engagement.

\n- Serve as a hands-on clinical leader, providing direct clinical support as needed, especially during staffing shortages.

\n- Maintain a strong presence across all shifts (days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays) to effectively support and lead teams.

\n- Ensure adherence to clinical standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in emergency care.

\n- On-site, full-time role with variable shifts; requires Colorado RN license (or eligibility), relevant certifications (ACLS, PALS), and 5+ years of progressive emergency / acute care leadership experience.\n\n\n
