Opportunity : RN - Tele Neuro Job Details : - Work 12-hour night shifts from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM - Holiday and every other weekend requirements - Block scheduling approved - Voluntary call requirements - Guaranteed 72 or 96 hours bi-weekly - Maximum 1 week RTO allowed - Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS - 2 years of experience required - Care for higher acuity medical-surgical patients with diagnoses including stroke, seizures, post-operative neuro / spinal surgeries, level 2 trauma patients, and level 1 trauma post-ICU care - Manage patients with DKA, renal failure, and general post-operative care - Required skills include expertise in neuro assessments, critical thinking, drain management, post-surgical care, chest tube management, and groin site management post-IR - Patient ratio of 1 : 5 to 1 : 6 - Work on 24-bed unit - Navy scrubs required - EMR system : Cerner - Floating to other units required - Must be greater than 50 miles from facility (local candidates not accepted) Facility : This healthcare organization operates a comprehensive medical center with specialized neuro-spine services and telemetry capabilities.
