The Children's SPOT is therapist-owned, employee-driven and client-focused. We provide Speech, Occupational and ABA therapy and have a strong reputation in the area for being the best at what we do.

PT / PRN Clinic based- afterschool hours

If you are looking for a collaborative environment and a diverse caseload, we are the right fit for you. At our center, we work with infants and toddlers through high school age with a variety of diagnoses. We are looking for a therapist to support our after school hour needs.

PT position school based :

Are you a speech therapist looking for a part-time position with daytime hours and school breaks off? Do you love working in the educational setting but are tired of constant IEP meetings, high caseloads and a lack of resources? Join our therapy team and provide speech therapy for our private school partner in Eldersberg MD, and work with children with language-based learning challenges. This is a unique opportunity to work with specialized reading tutors, motivated and creative teachers and a group of fantastic kids, not to mention our own team of SPOT OT's who also provide services at the school.

Responsibilities

  • Perform evaluations and create treatment plans customized for that client, working with them to set short and long term goals
  • Perform skilled interventions that meet the clients individual needs
  • Collaborate with school staff, teachers reading tutors and parents
  • Maintain excellent records of client needs, care, and outcomes
  • Work closely with the school and families to ensure they have the knowledge and tools they need for success
  • Qualifications

  • Active state license for practicing speech therapy
  • Ability to collaborate with other professionals
  • Ability to create a therapy schedule and adjust the schedule as needed
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Familiarity with basic computer programs, such as the Microsoft Office suite
