Pharmacy Floor Technician

Location : Katy, TX

Hours : rotating 8-5pm and 11-8 : 30pm and every other weekend

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Pharmacy Floor Technician to join our team. This role involves preparing prescriptions for final verification by a pharmacist, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Fills daily drug orders accurately and efficiently under pharmacist supervision
• Assists in processing returned drugs and recycling / disposal per procedure
• Prepacks frequently ordered medications, labels, and stores during low-volume times
• Packages materials and products manually
• Pulls / picks medications from shelving and other storage areas (including prepack racks)
• Applies labels to blister cards and scans products for accuracy checks
• Alerts pharmacist on duty of any medication / product that does not scan properly
• Maintains workstation areas and replenishes stock supplies as needed
• Follows all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA
• Works overtime, holidays, and weekends as required or expected
• Complies with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code
• Performs other duties as assigned
