Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position at a Level III high-risk facility, requiring an active NJ or compact license and strong recent specialty experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

Work in a Level III high-risk Labor and Delivery hospital unit

Will float to High Risk Obstetric (HROB) unit as needed and may float to up to two nearby lower-volume hospitals, though most deliveries occur onsite

Day shift schedule (3x12 hours), 7 : 00–19 : 00

Every other weekend and every other holiday required

Uses Epic charting system (preferred)

Scrubs provided by the hospital

Float as needed within five hospitals based on census and staffing, assignments within scope of practice

Block scheduling considered but not guaranteed

First-time travelers are accepted for this position

RTO (Requested Time Off) must be submitted at time of application; no RTO allowed within the first week of assignment

Travelers with four days or less of RTO will be prioritized

Must complete required labs within 48 hours of signing

Fit testing required prior to starting; must be clean shaven for fit testing

\n \n Requirements\n

Active NJ or Compact RN license in hand at time of submission

BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required, all current at time of submission

Minimum 2.5–3 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience, with at least 2 years in specialty within the last 12 months

Must pass Dysrhythmia test during orientation within 72 hours of signing, on a PC; only two attempts permitted

COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required at time of submission; no exemptions allowed
