As a Claims Team Leader- Level II, you'll lead a team of Claim Representatives responsible for handling non-attorney represented bodily injury and property damage claims. These claims range from low to high complexity and require strong coverage and liability investigation skills. You'll be responsible for coaching, performance management, quality assurance, and supporting company-wide initiativesall while fostering a high-performance, customer-focused culture.
What does a CLAIMS TEAM LEADER- Level II do?
- Lead, coach, and support a team of 46 Level 2 Claim Representatives.
- Provide ongoing training and development to improve claims handling skills.
- Manage onboarding and integration of new team members.
- Drive employee engagement and foster a collaborative, accountable team culture.
- Partner with HR on recruitment, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
- Ensure alignment with company goals and initiatives.
- Apply advanced knowledge of insurance coverage, claims processes, and procedures.
- Conduct QA reviews, file audits, and authority reviews.
- Provide guidance on bodily injury, coverage, and liability investigations.
- Ensure timely and accurate handling of claims in compliance with company and state regulations.
- Resolve escalated customer complaints and complex coverage questions.
- Deliver performance reporting to adjusters and leadership.
- Identify and implement process improvement opportunities.
- Lead or assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with other departments to support recruiting, training, and operational goals.
- Participate in new hire orientation and other ad-hoc activities.
What is required?
Education : Bachelor's degree preferred
To perform the essential functions of this job an active Texas or Florida Adjuster License will be required to comply with state and GAINSCO requirements.Upon hire, additional license(s) may be required. If that is the case, license(s) must be obtained.All licenses must be maintained in accordance with state requirements.Experience : Minimum 2 years of experience handling medium to high complexity coverage and liability claims. Minimum 2 years of bodily injury claims experience (non-attorney and / or attorney represented preferred). Prior supervisory experience required. Insurance industry experience required; non-standard auto experience is a plus. Knowledge of state laws regulating the auto insurance industry. Knowledge of Image Right and Claims Center systems.
