Job Summary
The Salesforce Developer, Application Declarative, is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the CRM platform. This includes implementing updates, support, and testing new releases, building reports and dashboards, managing workflows, understanding, and troubleshooting integrations and security, and supporting end users. The role works closely with the CRM technical team, Business Analyst, Project Managers and User Community. Will be responsible for creating technical and user documentation and providing end-user support. Customer Excellence focuses on business enablement, helps drive competitive differentiation, simplify UI / UX less keystrokes and makes everyone’s job easier. The goal is to increase revenue, reduce expenses and look for continuous process improvement.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Customize and maintain Salesforce objects, fields, layouts, flows, and validation rules to meet business requirements
Create reports, dashboards, and other end user-facing UI configurable items
Develop customized solutions within the Salesforce platform
Manage user roles, profiles, permission sets, and sharing settings to ensure data security and compliance, including user access and security
Evaluate systems stability and functionality, proactive monitoring of jobs, monitoring for system performance, troubleshoot issues, and escalate to Salesforce support as needed
Resolve user issues related to workflows, approvals, or data visualization for ease of use
Timely communication with the business on project, issues, root cause, set expectation of resolution short term, mid-term, or long term for Salesforce environments. Production issues are our highest priority. When there is a band-aid there must be a plan to get the target date to ensure root cause resolution
Maintain enhancements, incident and bug tracking through ticket management systems
Create and maintain technical and business documentation and provide training to end users
Stay current on Salesforce releases, new features, and best practices; and implement relevant enhancements to optimize our Salesforce instance
Collaborate with project managers to identify CRM update and enhancement needs
Performs other related duties as assigned
Education and Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering or related work experience
Previous work experience with application and software development
7+ years of experience in application development or CRM support role
Strong experience with Salesforce CRM platforms (SalesCloud, Communities, ServiceCloud)
Experience with Salesforce Mobile App Customization
Salesforce Administrator / Advanced Administrator certifications
Salesforce Platform Developer II Certification preferred
Expertise in building complex, scalable and secure applications on Salesforce Lightening Platform
Experience working with Copado, Jira
Proficient in Salesforce flows, workflow rules, formula fields, custom UI, such using Visualforce, Aura, and LWCs
Effective communication skills, verbal and written
Ability to solve problems in a high-level complex multi layered application issues
Experience with Designs and develops complex business logic and user interfaces using Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components (LWCs)
Implemented advanced data modeling, integration techniques, and asynchronous programming (e.g., batchable, queueable, schedulable)
Apply object-oriented programming principles, error handling, understand data governance PII, SPI, best practices like GDPR and security best practices
Understands and uses JSON / SOAP / REST / XML web services, Salesforce Connect, and deployment tools like Salesforce DX. Experience developing customer-facing interfaces
Work Environment :
Work in a professional office environment, with a collaborative and dynamic team setting and requires in-person presence in Blue Bell, PA
