Head of Denim Design, Womens

Since inception, FRAME has embodied Californian modernity with a distinctly European influence through its renowned ready-to-wear collections and coveted denim essentials. Born and raised in Los Angeles, FRAME offers a timeless perspective on everyday chic outfitting via signature tailoring, luxury leather, and quality cashmere.

Today, FRAME is a household name across both women's and men's design, with 14 standalone retail stores across North America, two London stores, a store in Shanghai and a dedicated eCommerce website. FRAME can also be found at the most desirable department stores and boutiques worldwide.

Role Overview :

Reporting to the SVP of Women's Design, the Head of Women's Denim Design will spear head the denim development process from sourcing to Pre Production approval. Working closely with the SVP of Womens Design, The Head of Womens Denim Design will support the aesthetic of the brand and the vision of the SVP of Design through the modernity of the denim fit portfolio and expand in an on-brand way the product category of denim. This role requires a strong department lead that is fluent in fitting 5 pocket and denim dressing to support a strong team of designers spanning the product category needs.

Responsibilities :

Expand on the concept presented by the SVP of Design for the denim fabric category

Manage and support the denim team for personal growth and meeting deadlines

Lead 5 pocket fittings and ensure all cross functional team members are aligned on updates for BOMs, sketches, construction, packaging, etc.

Lead 5pocket wash development seasonally prior to receiving concept direction for the line and a sku plan

Inspire and spearhead 5 pocket newness and denim dressing (fashion denim) in a consistent and on brand way that is cohesive with the other product categories offered

Maintaining development calendar dates as needed and being flexible in creative problem solving for presenting denim at milestone meetings

Work closely with Product Development and merch teams to ensure hand off dates are met and information is flowing seamlessly to vendors

Approve wash targets for the line seasonally with PD

Meet with mills to ensure that FRAME has the best on brand fabric portfolio, launching newness when needed and expanding on revenue drivers when applicable.

Work closely with the RTW and to ensure that we are maximizing outfitting seasonally with our across product categories

Skills & Qualifications :

10+ years experience in the field of womens denim

Proficiency in denim wash and fit across from super stretch to rigid is a must with an emphasis in 5 pocket bottoms

Proficient Photoshop and Illustrator a plus

Functioning ability in Excel and Word needed

Excellent organizational skills and flexibility to meet calendar dates

Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a dynamic environment

Familiarity with PLM systems preferred

Team player with a positive attitude and strong people management skills
