Executive Producer

Job Description

WKEF has an immediate opening for an Executive Producer. In this role, you'll be overseeing our evening newscasts, helping write and edit scripts, editing video and working with reporters on their daily assignments. You'll also be a driver for all of our digital platforms including website and social media.

The main responsibilities for this role includes :

• Supervise producers and reporters as well as reviewing scripts and providing feedback to encourage growth
• Help manage content center during breaking news and weather events
• Collaborating with other managers to help assign reporters stories and showcase content in newscasts
• Updating website and sending out timely news alerts on all social media platforms
• Planning and overseeing continuity into upcoming newscasts
