Optical Test Engineer

This is an onsite position and will be required to work from the Holmdel, NJ office.

Occasional international and domestic travel (approximately 5-10%) may be required to support customer development activities and collaborate with internal Cisco teams.

Acacia Communications Inc., a leader in innovative client optics and coherent technology, is currently seeking a Optical Test Engineer to design and run automated testing of Photonic Integrated Circuit (PIC) devices, assist development teams with design specifications, and improve production yields.

Your Impact

As part of the Acacia / Cisco Device Verification Test team, you will work closely with experts in integrated silicon photonics, optical packaging, ASIC development, and operations." Your contributions will help deliver ground breaking, high-yield, high-throughput processes across Acacia / Cisco's portfolio of optoelectronic components and modules.

• Partner with RF, silicon photonics, digital signal processing (DSP), and module design teams to debug and support the bring-up of new photonic integrated circuits (PICs) and modules during new product introduction.
• Develop test algorithms and calibration procedures to ensure product performance and quality.
• Define and implement comprehensive design verification test plans.
• Prepare and maintain detailed design verification documentation.
• Provide support for PIC-level failure analysis and solving.
