POSITION PURPOSE : This is a senior-level position that will lead the Electrical Engineering department. The ideal candidate is self-motivated with leadership, technical, management, and communication skills. The candidate will define project requirements with clients and stakeholders (owners, construction contractors, regulatory officials) and collaborate with other design professionals inside and outside the firm. Projects include power generation, medium and low voltage distribution, transformers, switchgear, overcurrent protection, branch circuits, power panels, motor control centers, lighting systems, grounding and bonding, cathodic protection, and lightning protection. The candidate will oversee and perform electrical engineering tasks to ensure client satisfaction and technical excellence in all deliverables.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform technical and management oversight for high-quality design deliverables including studies, planning documents, basis of design, plans, specifications, cost estimates, and schedules for electrical projects.
• Ensure compliance with the firm's Design Quality Control plan.
• Ensure timely delivery of engineering services to internal and external clients on or ahead of schedule.
• Manage work assignments, resources, scheduling, and supervision of assigned personnel.
• Perform overall project management, including client relations, contract management, scope, schedule, budget, quality, and personnel resources; collaborate with client and accounting to invoice and collect payments.
• Participate in design reviews and address client comments fully.
• Perform electrical engineering tasks including calculations and development of utility plans, single-line diagrams, power and lighting plans, and equipment schedules.
• Maintain and grow department technical capabilities, professional registrations, certifications, and geographic positioning aligned with firm growth.
• Ensure personnel have professional development plans with education, training, registrations, certifications, and experience aligned with growth strategy.
