ABOUT THE JOB

Anduril is seeking a Material and Process Engineer to help rapidly advance our autonomous maritime defense systems. This engineer needs to be an effective individual contributor focused on materials and manufacturing processes. We need an engineer with deep knowledge and experience in manufacturing environments. The candidate must also have strong communication skills, sense of task ownership, ability to learn quickly and consistent delivery performance. The candidate must be willing and able to perform hands on engineering and computational work as need by the program. This is a demanding role for which only motivated candidates need apply.

WHAT YOULL DO

A day in the life of this engineer starts with a quick 15 minute stand up with their team, when they confirm what their tasks are and communicate what they need to perform. After that, the candidate heads out to the shop floor to begin working on the new laser welding robot installation, reading drawings and making sure the equipment is set up per requirements. Back at their desk, the engineer starts writing the work instruction for the new polymer 3D printer that has to go through Site Acceptance testing next week. They need to learn what ASTM test coupons the spec should call out and do a literature review to substantiate their choice. The candidate grabs a cup of coffee, looks out of the window at a product getting launched, and smiles to themselves when they realize it's only 9 : 48 in the morning and theyve still got a list of cool stuff to get done today.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 7+ years of professional engineering work experience
• Bachelor's or higher degree in mechanical, materials, electrical, chemical or similar engineering.
• Work experience with engineering software such as; Microsoft Excel or Project, MATLAB, Solidworks, NX or other professional CAD, ANSYS simulation products.
• Work experience operating manufacturing equipment such as; extruders, machine tools, welding, additive manufacturing, press breaks, stamping machines
• Work experience with automated or computer-controlled machines and associated factory software
• Work experience in quality management systems such as ISO9001, ISO13485, ITAF 16949, AS9100.
• Work experience working under OSHA safety requirements
• Working experience with industry testing standards such as ASTM and ISO
• This position requires an estimated 15-25% of travel to Anduril and vendor sites
• Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities

US Salary Range

$128,000$192,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and / or training, critical skills, and / or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
