Overview
Urban Designer / Landscape Architecture Design Leader role at AECOM. Location : Cleveland or Columbus, OH. This position focuses on design leadership for complex civic-focused projects within a multidisciplinary practice.
Responsibilities
- Provide design leadership within the award-winning urban design, landscape architecture, and planning practice.
- Work on local projects as well as opportunities across other locales, collaborating with internal and external partners.
- Present and clearly articulate design visions and concepts to inform the overall design process for complex multi-layered design problems.
- Foster a culture of design within the established design practice and contribute to a design studio culture.
- Collaborate with planners, landscape architects, architects, interior designers, engineers, and business development professionals.
- Leverage AECOM's design platform and access to industry-leading designers and technical experts across disciplines.
- Lead project delivery and provide strategic thinking, organization, and communication to ensure successful outcomes.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or Urban Design + 6 years of relevant professional design experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and / or educationProfessional landscape architecture license within the USPreferred Qualifications
Master's degree in landscape architecture or urban designLicensed Landscape Architect in Ohio (within 6 months of hire)Ten plus years of relevant professional design experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and / or educationProficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and at least one 3D modeling / rendering platform (Revit, Rhino, SketchUp)Support the development of a design studio cultureCollaborator & IntegratorMinimum of 5 years of applicable design leadership experienceProject leadership experienceProficiency in creating hand sketches for workshops and quick idea communicationFamiliarity with business development activities such as marketing, proposals, and client developmentExcellent internal and external communication of design visionExcellent written communication, quantitative analysis, graphic design, urban design, presenting, and critical thinking skillsEvidence of third-party recognition (e.g., ASLA, AIA, design awards, publications)Additional Information
Sponsorship is not available for this roleOffered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $110,000.00 - $130,000.00.
