The Fairfax County Park Authority (FCPA) is seeking Project Manager (Park Management Specialist I) to be a part of one of the most highly regarded park systems in the country. Under the supervision of the division director, provides general management and project support to the Park Services Division through a variety of planning, analysis, data management, budget, and financial analysis. Conducts regular and ongoing project management actions, including developing project plans, leading strategic initiatives, forming and managing project teams, and implementing key priorities across the division. Conducts business development initiatives and manages annual project development process. Oversees and manages the Park Service's Customer Experience and Customer Service programs. As the support analyst for the division director, the individual in this position will work with sites and branch managers on customer service issues, working on solutions and developing responses. Flexible worksite / hours to include a varied schedule of days, evenings, and weekend work. Employment Standards
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in recreation and park management or other pertinent related field; Plus, four years of experience in work related to parks or recreation, including responsible administrative / managerial experience, preferably in the applicable functional area.

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS :
The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check, and driver's license check to the satisfaction of the employer.

Sedentary with walking and lifting less than 5 lbs. All duties may be performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
