From high-rises and data centers to schools and hospitals, you'll assist in designing sprinklers, clean agent suppression, fire pumps, standpipes, and integrated fire alarm systems. Using hydraulic and fire modeling software with BIM, you'll work alongside experienced engineers to deliver innovative, code-compliant solutions — with mentorship, training, and growth opportunities from day one. Principal Responsibilities Interact with clients to gather requirements and communicate technical information Analyze engineering tasks and propose solutions with senior support Stay current with fire protection trends and contribute to R&D Prioritize safety and identify risks in fire protection systems Required Qualifications and Skills Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Prior internship experience in the building design consulting industry preferred Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production of Strong technical and analytical skills including knowledge in principles of thermodynamics, fire dynamics, heat transfer and fluid mechanics as it relates to fire protection systems design in fire alarm, fire suppression, and smoke control systems for buildingsKnowledge of industry standard engineering software and tools including hydraulic Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Attention to detail and problem-solving skills Basic knowledge in the use of BIM software.
