Position Title : Ski and Snowboard Instructor

Reports To : Ski School Manager

Supervises : N / A

Summary of Position

Currently is able, or is willing to be trained to teach skiing and / or snowboarding as per PSIA / AASI doctrine as modified by the Manager of the school. Able to provide information to guests about school products and ski area. Will be required to present a professional appearance that provides a positive first impression to guests. Must be able to teach classes of all ages, sizes and ability levels with enthusiasm and professionalism.

• Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following and are subject to change at management’s discretion :
• Will maintain a punctual time schedule;
• Will incorporate teaching methods that identify and facilitate the needs of students;
• Will assume responsibility of attending clinics to satisfy required training hours;
• Will be committed to improving personal skiing / riding skills;
• Will demonstrate verbally and by actions a knowledge of skiing / riding safety;
• Supervisory Responsibilities

While performing the duties of this position, the team member is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands, to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk or hear. Must be able to use hand held communications devices. The team member must occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds. The team member must be able to stand for several hours.

The noise level in the work environment is loud. The team member will be exposed to a second-hand smoke-filled environment. The team member may be exposed to biohazardous fluids such as blood and other body fluids. The team member may be exposed to hostile environments with guest. May be subject to high stress environments.
