- Description Summary
- : The Accounts Payable Associate is responsible for the receipt and accounting of funds being paid to the Company. The person in this position also serves as an auditor, ensuring that invoices are accurate and that proper accounting procedures are followed to account for the receipt of payment for goods and services the Company provides. Please note we are in Kodak, TN and are looking for local candidates only.
- Responsibilities Include :
- Ensures accurate and timely recording of payables, including review of all incoming invoices.
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies.
- Processes credit card payments and credits.
- Make account adjustments, as needed.
- Manage and process new supplier account setup.
- Prepare manual deposits on a weekly basis.
- Prepares weekly reports for the Accounting Manager and / or Controller, as required.
- Proven ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Requires regular, predictable and punctual attendance.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Minimum Qualifications (knowledge, skills & abilities) :
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill and / or ability required.
- Education and / or Experience : Associates degree in Accounting, preferred. A minimum of two to three years of prior experience in accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Relevant experience in accounting with understanding of GAAP.
- Exceptional time management, follow-up, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with great attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills – oral and written.
- Ability to identify issues, problem solve and follow-up to ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products required (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and Internet applications; experience with Microsoft Navision and Dynamics, preferred.
