We’re seeking a Safety Manager to lead our company-wide health and safety efforts across all construction projects and office operations. This individual will serve as a key resource for our field teams, ensuring compliance with OSHA and all applicable regulations while driving a proactive, engaged safety culture.

Key Responsibilities
Develop & Implement Safety Programs
Create, implement, and enforce site-specific safety plans and company-wide procedures in line with OSHA and regulatory requirements.Align programs with company goals and recommend initiatives to strengthen safety culture and performance.Jobsite Inspections & Compliance Audits
Conduct regular site visits, safety audits, and inspections on active commercial construction projects.Identify hazards, evaluate risk controls, and ensure corrective actions are implemented and tracked.Maintain accurate records, permits, and documentation.Incident Investigation & Reporting
Lead investigations into incidents, injuries, and near-misses to determine root causes.Prepare and submit incident reports to company leadership and regulatory agencies.Safety Training & Education
Develop and deliver engaging safety training for employees, supervisors, and subcontractors.Conduct new hire orientations, weekly toolbox talks, and company-wide safety meetings.Educate teams on hazard recognition, PPE use, and emergency procedures.Risk Management & Hazard Control
Support project teams in preconstruction and planning meetings to identify and mitigate risks.Oversee the procurement and maintenance of safety equipment and supplies.Emergency Preparedness
Maintain and test emergency response and evacuation plans.Coordinate drills and training with local emergency responders.Team Collaboration & Culture Building
Partner with superintendents, project managers, and trade partners to integrate safety into daily operations.Serve as the primary contact for OSHA and other regulatory visits or inspections.Promote open communication and accountability to build a company-wide culture of safety.Continuous Improvement
Stay current with evolving construction safety standards and best practices.Recommend updates to policies and procedures to improve company-wide performance.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, Environmental Health, or related field (or equivalent experience).Minimum 5 years of safety experience, preferably in commercial construction.Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety management systems and construction safety best practices.OSHA 30-hour certification required; CHST, CSP, or similar professional certification preferred.Proven ability to train, coach, and influence field personnel and subcontractors.Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office and safety management software.Valid driver’s license, safe driving record, and reliable personal vehicle required.Must maintain personal auto insurance with minimum coverage of $100k / $300k / $100k.Willingness to travel regularly to project sites.Physical Requirements
Ability to walk, climb, bend, and stand for extended periods on active construction sites.Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.Must wear required PPE at all times when on project sites or in warehouse environments.Frequent travel between job sites (fuel covered via company-provided gas card).No outside recruiting services please.
