TeamHealth is seeking a passionate and visionary pediatric emergency medicine (PEM) physician to lead our dynamic team at El Paso Children's Hospital as the facility medical director. This unique leadership opportunity also includes a faculty appointment with Texas Tech University, allowing you to shape the next generation of pediatric emergency physicians while delivering exceptional care to the children of El Paso.

El Paso Children's Hospital is a cutting-edge facility dedicated exclusively to pediatric healthcare. The facility features 122 hospital beds and a dedicated 13-bed emergency department (10 private rooms, including 1 resuscitation room and 2 isolation rooms).
Emergency Department Overview
- Annual ED volume : 27,000 patients, with an average of 1.73 patients per hour
- 11% admission rate
- Medium acuity level
- Equipped with a helipad for emergency transport
- EMR system : Cerner
- Codes : part of the code team; physicians are expected to respond to codes anywhere in the hospital unless a critical patient requires immediate attention
- Nearest trauma center : University Medical Center
- Credentialing time : approximately 90 days
