Selectek is looking for a Helpdesk Support Technician to join their growing team. This role will focus on PC builds. The role will be taking devices from WIN10 to WIN11.
Responsibilities :
Provides technically correct responses to end users in a timely manner and records all user support activity in the IT helpdesk.
Builds WIN11 computers in accordance with build guide and assists users in transferring files, certificates etc to newly issued computers.
Installs unique software for project teams (after verifying proper licensing)
Maintains computer acceptance letters from users and ensures accurate hardware / software inventories.
Responsible for sanitizing computers returned by users and for timely update of computer information in active directory and IT inventory system.
Ensures adherence to IT security policies and procedures escalating issues to senior staff when necessary.
Required :
Formal IT education (degree or certificate)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Organized with attention to detail
Job Order Details :
The focus of the role will be to act as a helpdesk support technician assisting with hardware and software issues that come up for users. They will also be asked to assist with PC builds on occasion. Right now, they need an entry level or very junior candidate to come in and do PC builds. They have a year contract they can put them on. If they do a good job, it could turn into a temp to direct and they would look at releasing other minor IT tasks to them as they grow and learn.

Pay Range : Â $22 / hour - $25 / hour
Term of assignment : Â 1 year contract that may turn into temp to direct

Hours & Shift :  Monday – Friday, 7AM – 4PM
Work From Home / Remote : Â No, need to be onsite to perform work
Overtime : Â Minimum; Occasionally an hour or two each week possible Â
Travel : Â None
