Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician Job Details

Location : Saint Paul, Minnesota and surrounding areas (Twin Cities healthcare jobs)

Position Type : Locum tenens OB / GYN physician (travel contract)

Start Date : December 8, 2025

End Date : June 8, 2026

Assignment Duration : 26 weeks, with ongoing potential

Shifts : 12-hour or 24-hour call shifts (day and night shifts available)

Weekly Hours : Estimated 36 hours per week

Facilities Covered : Up to 4 hospitals / clinics in the Twin Cities region

Monthly Schedule : Up to 8 shifts per month; shifts vary in length and location

Estimated Weekly Pay : $64,830 - $69,460 per week

OB / GYN Physician Qualifications

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology

Active Minnesota medical license or eligibility to obtain prior to start date

Clean professional record (no malpractice or disciplinary actions)

Minimum 1 year of post-residency OB / GYN experience required

Proficient in C-sections, D&Cs, laparoscopic tubal ligations, ectopic pregnancy management, and core OB / GYN procedures

Familiarity with EPIC EMR preferred

Ability to float between multiple hospital sites as needed

Key Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care, including labor and delivery management, surgical procedures, and emergency interventions

Provide in-house or on-call coverage as scheduled (12- or 24-hour shifts)

Float between multiple hospital sites, adapting to different patient volumes and acuity levels

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes

Accurately document all patient encounters using the EPIC EMR system

Maintain compliance with hospital policies, credentialing, and clinical standards
