We are seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to service the Tri-Cities region. The role involves digging trenches for pipe laying, foundations, and other underground utility installations, as well as assisting in the installation and repair of water and sewer lines. The operator must follow safety procedures and protocols when excavating near underground utilities, employing locating devices and proper trenching and shoring techniques. We are looking for candidates with expertise in Water & Sewer, Infrastructure, Storm Water Management, Grading, Underground Utilities, and Land Management & Conservation.

Responsibilities :

• Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, backhoes, and front-end loaders.
• Dig trenches for pipe laying, foundations, or other underground utility installations.
• Assist in the installation and repair of water and sewer lines.
• Follow safety procedures and protocols for excavating near underground utilities.
• Utilize locating devices and proper trenching and shoring techniques.
• Specialize in areas such as Water & Sewer, Infrastructure, Storm Water Management, Grading, Underground Utilities, and Land Management & Conservation.

Work Environment :

The typical work schedule consists of five 8-hour days, with hours from 6 : 30 am to 5 : 30 pm. Employees generally work between 50-55 hours per week.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bristol, TN.

Pay and Benefits :

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
