Job Summary : We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR) to join a leading healthcare facility in Lawrenceville, GA. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional perioperative nursing care and ensure the highest standards of patient safety and efficiency throughout all surgical procedures. This is a 13+ week contract opportunity with a strong potential for extension based on performance and facility needs.

Responsibilities and Duties : The Registered Nurse in the Operating Room will be responsible for preparing the operating room for procedures, ensuring that all surgical instruments and supplies are properly sterilized and available. The nurse will assist surgeons and surgical teams during operations, monitor patient vitals, and maintain accurate intraoperative records. Post-surgery, the RN will ensure safe patient transfers and proper communication with the recovery team. The nurse must adhere strictly to infection control standards, hospital policies, and surgical safety protocols while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications : Candidates must hold an active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred, though an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) will be considered with relevant experience. A minimum of two years of recent operating room experience in an acute care setting is required. Certifications in BLS and ACLS are mandatory. CNOR certification is preferred but not required.

Schedule and Compensation : This position follows an 8-hour day shift schedule, with potential for on-call or weekend rotations as needed. The assignment duration is 13+ weeks, with opportunities for contract extension. Compensation is highly competitive and based on experience and qualifications.
