About The Position

Must-Have :

Must be able to perform pre-operative tasks and phase I and II post-operative recovery.

Ability to recognize situational changes that require unanticipated interventions.

Excellent communication skills.

Independent critical decision-making and strong problem-solving skills.

Ability to multi-task effectively.

Description :

This is a 123-bed facility with trauma level III capabilities.

It does not have a NICU level.

The facility is a Primary Stroke Center.

The surgical center has 8 Same Day Surgery beds and 4 PACU beds.

Patient types include General, GYN, ENT, Urology, Orthopedics, Podiatry, and Vascular.

5-10% of cases will involve pediatric experience, which is preferred.

Support on the unit includes a Charge Nurse who will take assignments.

There will be a unit secretary available.

The charting system utilized is EPIC, along with Alaris and Pyxis.

Floating will be required to two other sites and notification will be provided before shifts.

Call duties consist of every 6th weekend, from Friday afternoon to Monday morning, with a response time of 45 minutes.

Scrub colors will be procedural and provided.
