Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neonatal ICU position in Washington, requiring Epic experience and accepting first-time travelers.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) within a short-term acute care hospital designated as a Level II Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center
  • Night shift, three 12-hour shifts from 19 : 00 to 07 : 00
  • Float between units and potentially to sister facilities as required
  • Patient ratios are 1 : 1, 1 : 2, and 1 : 3 depending on acuity
  • Weekend shifts are required on a varied schedule
  • Epic EMR is used for all charting
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • All RTO or specific scheduling requests must be submitted up front; post-submittal or post-offer requests may not be approved
  • All travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state as needed
  • Assigned modules are completed pre-start and annually, with an average completion time of 16 hours
  • No on-call required for this position
  • Scrub color for RNs is any color

    • Requirements

  • Active WA or Compact RN license in hand at the time of consideration
  • Minimum of two years’ NICU experience required
  • Current BLS and any specialty certifications specific to NICU
  • Experience with Epic EMR
  • Minimum of two supervisory references from comparable settings within the last three years
  • Former employees must have a minimum three-month gap before returning as a traveler
  • Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
  • Required documentation includes SS card and driver’s license
