About the Role
The Loan Servicing Assistant plays a key role in supporting the loan processing and administration functions within our organization. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate loan records, facilitating communication between internal teams and external partners, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and possess strong communication skills to foster positive relationships with clients, vendors, and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Create contacts within our proprietary loan system and order appraisals, insurance certificates, credit reports, and flood certificates; update the database upon receipt of items.
- Create and maintain online customer credit files, requesting updated financial information as needed.
- Create and maintain physical customer loan files, following up on post-closing items.
- Review, scan, and upload completed loan documents from escrow companies; follow up on post-closing items such as ordering title policies.
- Track and maintain updated project listings and sales status.
- Quote payoffs, post incoming payments, and prepare lien releases upon full payoff.
- Prepare monthly loan assignment forms.
- Monitor and act on various reports, including interest due, conditions, sales, renderings, and others as needed.
- Establish good working relationships with other team members.
- Foster positive communications and relationships with vendors, builders, and various associates.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Actively participate in meetings as requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
Ability to prioritize and multitask with strong attention to detail.Accuracy, detail orientation, and critical thinking skills.Basic understanding of audit, problem solving, data entry, and customer service.Excellent time management and organizational skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong working knowledge of computer software programs such as Word, Excel, etc.Qualifications
Business degree preferred.Prior loan experience preferred.Previous experience in office administration or other related fields preferred.Must meet the requirements to be commissioned as a Notary Public.
