Donor Experience Officer
This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) exempt, campaign funded through June 30, 2028, benefit-eligible staff position. Some travel, as well as some evening and weekend work, is expected.
The Donor Experience Officer is responsible for conceptualizing, planning, and implementing innovative digital strategies to cultivate, solicit, and steward donors. The role will have a particular focus on engaging recent graduates and mid-level donors. This position will also develop comprehensive metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of these outreach efforts. The role is critical to helping Carleton achieve its near-term annual giving goals, continue to grow alumni participation, and share major and planned gift referrals for the College's long-term fundraising objectives.
The Donor Experience Officer will be an integral part of a well-organized and highly collaborative Alumni Annual Fund (AAF) team that is nationally recognized for its success. The team is particularly known for its excellence in alumni participation through a volunteer-driven, peer-to-peer outreach model. This position will ensure that Donor Experience Officer outreach thoughtfully complements the personal outreach from classmates, as the Annual Fund works to achieve its ambitious annual fundraising goal of over $11 million from alumni, parents, and friends of the College.
The expected starting salary range for this position is between $58,000 and $60,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
