Job descriptionAbility to use measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures. Ability to read prints to ensure accuracy. Familiarity with Epicor or similar program Familiarity with CAD or CorelDraw Excellent communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to prioritize tasks and function in a fast-paced environment. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Tool & Die making experience is a plus. High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent. Machining apprenticeship, technical training or applicable work experience required. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand for entire length of an 8+ hour shift. Bending, reaching, and climbing of steps ladders. Visual acuity and manual dexterity sufficient to see, distinguish and operate machines and tools necessary for job completion. Environmental working conditions. Majority of time spent in a shop setting where temperature can be warmer or colder, (subject to climate fluctuations).

Job Summary :
The Machinist uses milling machines, grinders, and other machine tools to produce precision metal parts. Must be able to use both manual and CNC machinery.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Read detailed drawings or files, such as blueprints, sketches, and those for computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM)
- Set up, operate, and disassemble manual, automatic, and computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools
- Align, secure, and adjust cutting tools and workpieces
- Monitor the feed and speed of machines
- Turn, mill, drill, shape, and grind machine parts to specifications
- Verify that completed products meet requirements
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
