Senior Platform Engineer

Location : Sterling, Virginia

Work Hours : 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM

Travel : Up to 10% to other customer sites

Security Clearance : TS / SCI w / CI Poly required

Salary : $140,000 - $150,000 annually (negotiable)

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain systems using Linux-based tools and manage COTS / FOSS software to support program needs
• Ensure computer, network, and storage resources are mission-ready
• Deploy new system baselines (OS, software, network, and storage configurations)
• Support Echelon 1 (E1) activities for troubleshooting across software, servers, networking, storage, and cloud environments
• Apply O&M patches and baseline updates
• Contribute to enterprise-level integration efforts
• Document defects in customer and program databases
• Participate in technical interchange meetings with operators, partners, and customers
• Provide occasional off-hours support via call-in rotation
• Travel to customer sites or factory for updates, deliveries, and troubleshooting
