The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Controller with strong finance expertise to oversee, manage, and grow the financial operations of 20 / 20 Onsite, supporting US-based clients.
Reporting to our Fractional CFO, this role will play a key part in shaping the company’s financial strategy, providing insights, forecasts, and analysis that drive operational performance and business growth.
The Controller will directly manage the Accounting team, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all reporting, while also leading budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
This is an exciting opportunity for a finance leader to build and manage the finance function at a rapidly growing, leading Life Sciences company. This is a hybrid position, two days per week at our Everett, MA headquarters. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Compliance Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and operational reports.
Ensure compliance with US GAAP, federal / state regulations, and healthcare-specific requirements.
Coordinate and manage external audits to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
Accounting Operations & Team Leadership Oversee and manage the Accounting team, including month-end close activities, accounts payable, accounts receivable.
Oversee vendor payments, supply chain-related financial processes, and vehicle / medical equipment expenditures.
Evaluate, improve, and maintain financial systems, reporting processes, internal controls, and accounting policies.
Mentor and develop accounting staff, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
Strategic Finance & Business Partnership Manage financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, aligning projections with operational priorities and strategic goals Use financial models, KPIs, and ROI analysis to guide decision-making, optimize costs, and support growth initiatives.
Partner with operational teams to analyze costs and margins, optimize service delivery, and improve profitability.
Act as a strategic finance partner to leadership, translating financial data into actionable insights for new business opportunities and expansion.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. 7–10 years of progressive Accounting / Finance experience. 3 years in a management role and at a revenue generating organization. Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
Life Sciences (Clinical Research, Pharma, Biotech) industry experience is strongly preferred.
Proficiency in financial / accounting systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar), advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
Demonstrated ability to deliver both tactical accounting accuracy and strategic financial insights.
Strong leadership, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
