Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering discipline and / or training or equivalent combination; master’s degree in business preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership in a manufacturing environment. Demonstrated experience applying Lean manufacturing tools.
- Successful track record planning, executing, and achieving strategic growth plans.
- Experience in a regulated environment, with a strong quality mindset.
- Experience leading positive cultural change, organizational effectiveness and creating a high performing culture.
- Medical Device industry experience a plus
- Strong background in continuous improvement with heavy focus on process improvement
Job Description
The Director of Operations will provide inspirational leadership and create a compelling vision for operational excellence with a focus on manufacturing performance and talent development. This position will drive a culture of continuous improvement and innovation by mentoring and holding teams accountable to drive high-impact business results. The Director of Operations will be responsible for site compliance with all legal, regulatory and company policies while working cross-functionally with key stakeholders to ensure alignment to achieve strategic objectives. Ensure safe, quality, cost effective manufacturing and assembly of products that comply with all regulatory standards
Responsibilities :
Aligns manufacturing operations action to meet or exceed site, regional and global business objectivesDevelop and maintain an effective organization through the selection, training, development, compensation, and motivation of Operations teamDrive a continuous improvement culture to optimize productivity and capacity. Execute continuous improvement initiatives including determination of goals and selection and completion of projectsCommunicate with all individuals or teams as necessary to ensure all employees have clear understanding of company direction, goals, and activity specific to the achievement of objectivesPromote and foster a culture that results in a safe working environmentDevelop and lead associates through active coaching and target setting while cultivating a high performing team culture; empowered, engaged and results drivenDevelop capacity plans to meet short term production schedules and support long term forecasted growthMonitor metrics and ensure control plans, corrective actions and root-cause tools are being used to drive improved performanceExceed customer expectations in quality, cost, delivery, service, and project launches all while collaborating with cross functional teamsAccountable for compliance of manufacturing operations within the site; SOP’s, FDA regulations, ISO standards, GMP, OSHA, etc.Develop, allocate and work within established budget and latest estimate, managing activities to control spend and maximize profitsProvide analysis and input in development of business plans to achieve best in class operations including investment requests and return on investment
