Job description

Overview

Automated Architecture (AUAR) are looking for a talented Developer or Computational Designer to join their expanding team delivering ground-breaking experiences. Applicants will have the opportunity to work with the latest technology, creating content for global brands and be encouraged to develop their skills and knowledge, exploring and experimenting with the possibilities of AR / VR and robotics for design applications. The successful applicant will join a team of talented and passionate designers, programmers and producers building inspiring and captivating products and experiences in a friendly working environment.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to building and delivering ground-breaking experiences using AR / VR and robotics for design applications.
  • Collaborate with designers, programmers and producers to develop inspiring products and experiences.
  • Work with the latest technology and create content for global brands.
  • Design simple, readable, maintainable solutions that other disciplines can interact with.

Qualifications

  • Degree in architecture, design, programming or related discipline.
  • Experience using Unity or Unreal game engines.
  • Strong programming skills in C# or C++.
  • Ability to design readable, maintainable, modular, and portable code.
  • Understanding of OOP, design patterns and software engineering.
  • Strong affinity with vector and matrix math.
  • Ability to learn new skills and keep up to date with front-end development techniques.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and adaptability through self-driven education and experimentation.
  • Some experience with programming industrial robots and AR / VR is a bonus.
  • Details

  • Part-time (minimum 3 days per week).
  • 6-month contract on a project basis with option to renew.
  • Pay commensurate to experience.
  • Flexible working arrangements and significant opportunity for professional development in a fast-growing company.
  • Some travel between Bristol and London is required.
  • Not a remote role.
  • Start date : 12 February 2020.
