End Date : March 16, 2026
Contract Length : 13 weeks
Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM), 3 shifts / week
Hours per Week : 36
Estimated Weekly Salary : $2160 - $2210
NICU Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (compact or Ohio state license required)
Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
Minimum 1 year of recent Level III or IV NICU RN experience
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
EPIC charting system proficiency preferred
Ability to provide two professional references (one from a manager, director, or supervisor)
Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
Completion of Ohio fingerprinting process upon contract signing
NICU RN Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive, specialized care to neonates (22+ weeks gestation), including those with respiratory distress, glucose management needs, and post-surgical or cardiac interventions
Administer medications via Pyxis, including IV vasopressors, surfactants, and steroids
Perform and manage procedures such as arterial line management, central line care, and interventions for neonatal abstinence syndrome
Oversee ventilator management (AC / PC / SIMV / CPAP / BIPAP / PEEP) and provide advanced respiratory support
Utilize EPIC for accurate and timely clinical documentation
Implement SBAR communication for effective collaboration with healthcare providers and families
Manage gastrointestinal feeding methods and placement / management of oral, nasogastric, and nasojejunal tubes
Maintain infection control measures and IV therapy, including umbilical artery and vein catheter management
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including nurse practitioners, pharmacy, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, and unit secretary
Float to other units within the healthcare organization as needed
