Position Summary

The GxP Training Specialist plays a pivotal role in developing and maintaining high-impact training programs that foster operational excellence and employee growth across GxP-regulated functions. By leading the creation and coordination of learning initiatives, this role ensures team members are well-equipped to thrive in a highly regulated pharmaceutical environment. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leads the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of training programs aligned with current Good Manufacturing Practices and other regulatory standards, supporting workforce readiness across all levels and GxP-regulated departments
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts to identify performance gaps, define learning needs, and implement competency-based solutions that enhance individual and organizational capabilities.
  • Manages learning systems and tools, including Learning Management System (LMS) administration, curriculum mapping, training matrices, documentation tracking, and training audits.
  • Drives employee onboarding, role-specific development, and career-path learning opportunities through engaging, multimodal learning experiences and performance support resources.
  • Champions a learning culture by facilitating train-the-trainer programs, coaching leaders on instructional strategies, and serving as a trusted advisor on adult learning and regulatory training best practices.

While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the workday and frequently use their hands and fingers to handle or feel in order to access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The employee is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong facilitation, collaboration, and communication skills with the ability to tailor training for learners at all levels and cultivate a growth mindset organization wide.
  • Proficiency in LMS, e-learning authoring tools, instructional design models, and Microsoft Office applications with a focus on documentation accuracy and training effectiveness in regulated environments.

  • Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a training and instructional design role within a pharmaceutical, life sciences, healthcare, or other GxP-regulated environment.
  • Requires a bachelor's degree in education, life sciences, instructional design, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Certification in instructional design, adult learning, or Learning and Development strongly preferred, including credentials such as Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD), Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD), Training Within Industry (TWI), or a recognized Train-the-Trainer (TTT) program.
