Billing Specialist
SUMMARY : Reporting to the Director of Finance, this position will be responsible for a variety of daily, weekly and monthly billing tasks, reconciliations and other accounting activities.
Qualifications :
- Associate's degree in accounting, finance or business management; accounting preferred
 - Three years of prior experience in billing and receivables
 - Must be PC proficient and have strong experience with Microsoft Excel (formulas, functions, charts), PowerPoint and Word.
 - Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, meet deadlines and be able to thrive in fast-paced work.
 - Strong verbal and written communication skills.
 - Valid Driver's License, good driving record, proof of auto insurance
 - Able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen and physical & PT assessment
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Performs Medicaid billing functions, ensuring that data is correct and transmitted in a timely manner to funding agencies and / or customers via electronic submissions, invoices or statements as applicable.Prepare monthly room and board invoicingPrepare accounts receivable invoices for contracted services, coffee sales, rentals, etc.Reconcile payments via the billing and accounts receivable modulesWorks with funding agencies to resolve payment discrepanciesInterface with other departments to verify transaction report data and issuesAssists in the preparation of the annual audit, budget and Medicaid cost reportsAssist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the departmentBenefits :
