Tax Director

Our client is a public accounting firm. They seek a Tax Director to join their Real Estate group in their Cranford, NJ office.

Responsibilities

Plan and prepare tax returns for closely held businesses and their owners

Develop new and existing client relationships and knowledge of client’s businesses

Work closely with Tax Partners to satisfy the needs of planning compliance

Understand and manage firm risk on tax services performed

Prepare research memoranda, written correspondence, and other documents

Manage multiple clients, budgets, and production goals

Supervise, train, and guide tax associates and senior associates

Analyze and resolve tax notices with federal and state tax authorities

Stay up to date on new and changing tax legislation

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree, MST preferred

10+ years of progressive tax experience

Public accounting experience required

Proficient in corporate and partnership tax

CPA required

Knowledge of MS Office, CCH, and BNA Tax
