Job description

The Business Systems Analyst will serve as part of the IT department, with a focus on the JD Edwards and RF Gen systems. The position works with business leaders and the other IT department members to maintain, monitor and support the JDE ERP system and the RF Gen system. Assist with implementing new solutions, applications and processes; solve business technical issues and collaborate with team members across all departments. Secondary responsibilities include production support, testing and training.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

  • Resolve issues with JD Edwards 9.1 and RF Gen software. Main point of contact for end users
  • Work with users to support continuous improvement through implementation, end user training and documentation writing
  • Review, analyze and evaluate user need to create systems solutions that support overall business strategies. Document system requirements, define scope and objectives and crate system specifications that drive system development implementation
  • Perform a wide range of activities associated with application analysis, design functions and program review
  • Develop test data, conduct testing and debugging to produce required results
  • Design and suggest innovative modifications in application systems
  • Participate with cross functional IT members to improve / optimize operations performance
  • Maintain procedures and reports that provide technical support to the entire organization
  • Test, evaluate and assist decisions about new technology for the business

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES :

  • Experience with JDE 9.1 ERP business systems is preferred, but not required
  • Experience with RF Gen software is preferred, but not required
  • Willingness to solve complicated problems and see projects through to completion
  • Analytical skills to study problems and identify solutions
  • Team-oriented attitude to help other colleagues and departments with technical problems
  • Strong interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage time and effectively prioritize numerous projects at one time
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

    • EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE :

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field
