Job Description
Nursing care is a vital part of patient treatment, and we are seeking skilled registered nurses to join our team in delivering exceptional care to our patients. As a nurse on our unit, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care, educating patients and families about their health conditions, and coordinating transitions of care. Our nursing practice is guided by the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model, which emphasizes accountability, integrity, and teamwork.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, including those with hematologic disorders and cancers. You will also participate in individual and group cancer research programs, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective care plans. We prioritize patient-centered care, and our holistic approach ensures that patients receive comprehensive support throughout their treatment journey.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Experience working in a team environment is essential, as is your ability to adapt to unpredictable situations within the work setting. Additionally, you should demonstrate leadership skills, effective communication, and critical thinking abilities. Your qualifications should include a current RN license from the applicable state requirements and BLS (Basic Life Support) certification valid for 90 days post-start date.
Education :
Associate or diploma nursing program, recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), or National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
Experience :
One year of RN experience in an applicable care setting or one year of current LPN experience at Mayo Clinic
