About this role
We are looking for a Performance Video Strategist to join our creative team. This is a creative strategy role focused on concepting, scripting, directing, and producing winning video ads across Meta, YouTube, TikTok, and beyond. The role bridges storytelling and strategy using creativity, psychology, and data-driven insights to craft thumb-stopping, high-converting video assets. You’ll lead the video creative process from ideation through execution, working closely with editors, designers, and our media buying team to bring concepts to life. If you obsess over scroll-stopping hooks, sharp story arcs, and optimizing every second for performance, this role is for you.
Responsibilities
Own the strategy and execution of video creative assets across key platforms (Meta, YouTube, TikTok, etc.).
Develop original ad concepts based on product research, audience psychology, and performance trends.
Script video ads — from short-form hooks to longer-form storytelling sequences — always optimizing for conversions.
Direct and collaborate with video editors, on-screen talent, designers, and production resources.
Interpret ad performance data to refine messaging, visuals, pacing, and calls-to-action.
Conduct competitive creative audits to stay ahead of market trends and continuously evolve messaging styles.
Collaborate with media buyers, funnel strategists, and growth teams to align creative with broader campaign goals.
Qualifications
Experience : 3+ years of experience in marketing strategy or video production within a marketing agency or similar environment.
Ability to interpret ad account data and derive actionable insights.
At least 2 years of experience writing or editing ads for Meta & YouTube.
Excellent communication and presentation skills; creative and strategic thinker with a proactive problem-solving approach.
Experience in direct response ad copy.
Familiarity with video editing tools (bonus points for Adobe Premiere, After Effects, etc.).
Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines with high attention to detail.
Excellent visual storytelling skills with a strong grasp of direct response marketing principles.
A proven portfolio demonstrating your skills is required; examples of video ads for Meta or YouTube are highly valuable to review.
Compensation
$75,000-$95,000
