Automation Technician
Our client is seeking an Automation Technician to help keep production automation running smoothly and efficiently at their Hudson, NH facility. This full-time, direct-hire role offers a collaborative environment, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for growth.
Responsibilities of the Automation Technician
- Support day-to-day operation and maintenance of automated molding, assembly, and secondary equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair automation systems including robotics, sensors, PLCs, and electrical / mechanical components
- Help set up, program, and optimize automation systems and robotics
- Support engineering projects by building, wiring, testing, and modifying automation equipment
- Assist in automation equipment startups, trials, and qualifications
- Work with suppliers and vendors for spare parts and equipment support
- Identify and communicate opportunities to improve automation uptime and efficiency
- Maintain documentation
- Follow all safety and quality standards
Qualifications of the Automation Technician
Associate degree or technical certification in Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical, or Mechanical Technology, or equivalent experience
2+ years of hands-on experience with automated or robotic equipment in a manufacturing environment preferredWorking knowledge of robotics, PLCs, HMIs, sensors, conveyors, and material handling systemsBasic understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systemsExperience with injection molding equipment is a plusAbility to read electrical and mechanical schematicsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsFamiliar with SolidWorks or similar CAD software (preferred)Ability to work independently and collaboratively on multiple tasksWe look forward to hearing from you about this Automation Technician opportunity!
