Dietary Aide / Wait Staff
$12.00–$13.50 / hour
PURPOSE OF YOUR JOB POSITION
Assist in meal preparation, dining service, and cleanup for residents while promoting a positive and social dining environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience in food service, hospitality, or healthcare setting preferred.
Ability to follow directions and maintain sanitation standards.
Friendly, team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills.
RESIDENT RIGHTS
Treat residents with dignity and respect during all meal service interactions.
Honor resident preferences and assist with special dietary needs.
Maintain confidentiality and report concerns to supervisor.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Set up dining room, serve meals, and assist residents during meal times.
Deliver meal trays and snacks; ensure food is served at proper temperature.
Assist cook with food preparation and cleaning as needed.
Wash dishes, sanitize equipment, and maintain clean kitchen / dining areas.
Remove trash and recycling; restock supplies; rotate stored foods.
SAFETY AND SANITATION
Follow infection control and food safety protocols.
Wear appropriate PPE; maintain hand hygiene and clean uniforms.
Report any safety or sanitation concerns immediately.
Participate in fire, emergency, and safety training.
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift 25–50 lbs; stand / walk for extended periods.
Work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Provide assistance during emergencies or evacuations as assigned.
