Entry-Level Hardware Electrical Design & Validation Engineer

Overview

Entry-Level Hardware Electrical Design & Validation Engineer at General Motors. Hybrid : This role is categorized as hybrid. The successful candidate is expected to report to Metro Detroit, MI three times per week, at minimum or other frequency dictated by the business.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities)

• Design, develop, and validate electrical hardware, systems and schematics for automotive vehicle programs
• Collaborate closely with mechanical, software, and manufacturing engineering teams to integrate electrical components seamlessly
• Generate detailed documentation including wiring diagrams, schematics, PCB layouts, bills of material (BOMs), and test procedures
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to electrical and hardware systems during build, integration, and testing phases
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, standards, and company policies
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in cost, electrical design, reliability, and manufacturability
