- Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech and language abilities in pediatric patients.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments and specific needs.
- Implement evidence-based speech therapy interventions to improve communication skills.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Provide education and support to families regarding speech development and therapy techniques.
- Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in speech therapy, particularly in pediatrics.
- Requirements
- Proven experience in speech therapy, particularly within a school environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and patient assessment techniques related to speech disorders.
- Familiarity with early intervention strategies for children with communication challenges.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team focused on patient care.
