This role is a PRN position for a Physiatry / Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician in North Carolina, focused on assessing and evaluating veterans and their families. The position involves interview-based exams, physical assessments related to musculoskeletal, diabetes, and cardiovascular conditions, and some administrative follow-up work. Candidates must be board certified in relevant specialties and are not required to provide treatment or prescriptions.

Location : City in North Carolina, everything you would expect from a big city world-renowned museums, incredible event venues, chic boutiques, and international dining options but also rich in those places that evoke a feeling of home. This opportunity is available in another part of the state as well.

Facility : Center offering confidential help for Veterans, service members, and their families at no cost in a non-medical setting.

Opportunity :

• Need is on a PRN basis, ongoing
• Must be Board Certified in any of the following specialties : Neurology, Neurosurgery, PM&R
• Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessment : range of motion testing, muscle strength testing, evaluating traumatic brain injury. Exams will be a mix of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury.
• No prescribing, no treatment
• DMA certification available (can get CME credits) - will need to obtain once privileged if not already certified
• Use of Goniometer required
• Familiar with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio required
• Proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.
• Evaluations to be completed in provider portal and records are reviewed.
• Follow up administrative work will be required on a regular basis.
• No call!

Compensation : Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
