Direct and indirect patient care including, but not limited to, observation of signs and symptoms of illness, reactions to treatment, general behavior, or general physical condition, and determining of whether the signs, symptoms, reaction, behaviors, or general appearance exhibit abnormal characteristics; and implementation, based on observed abnormalities, of appropriate reporting, or referral, or standardized procedure, or changes in treatment regimen in accordance with standardized procedures, or the initiation of emergency procedures.Direct and redirect patient care services that ensure the safety, comfort, personal hygiene, and protection of patients; and the performance of disease prevention and restorative measures.The performance of skin tests, immunization techniques, and the withdrawal of blood from veins and arteries.Demonstrates satisfactory knowledge and clinical judgment to provide appropriate care for clinic patients.Performs general physical examination as indicated and instructs patients in health promotion and disease prevention.Examines patients to determine the presence of illness, utilizing physical findings, laboratory results, medical history, ascertains nature and extent of illness and prescribes treatments as indicated.Minimum 1- 3 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. Several years of FQHC or community health center practice experience preferred. Board Certified or Board Eligible Medical Doctor with or w / o US residency with current US work visa.
