Role description :

Serve as Waste and QA / QC Manager leading all aspects of waste management and quality assurance / quality control for nuclear hazardous and industrial waste projects. Provide strategic and technical guidance to multidisciplinary teams ensuring regulatory compliance operational excellence and continuous improvement across all project phases.

Role Accountabilities :

• Lead all aspects of on-site waste management including characterization packaging transportation and disposal of nuclear hazardous and industrial waste streams.
• Ensure compliance with site-specific federal and international regulations and Waste Acceptance Criteria (WAC).
• Develop implement and maintain ISO 9001 and NQA-1 compliant Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA / QC) programs.
• Oversee technical documentation including QA / QC records inspection reports and regulatory submittals.
• Utilize statistical sampling and analysis tools to support accurate waste characterization and process improvements. Conduct audits inspections and readiness assessments to uphold project and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with engineering safety and procurement teams to ensure integrated project delivery and quality outcomes.
• Mentor and lead multidisciplinary teams fostering a culture of safety compliance and continuous improvement. Implement Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement methodologies to optimize operations and reduce cycle times.
• Support project scheduling budgeting and resource planning to meet decommissioning or remediation objectives.

Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors such as experience education budget internal equity project and location.
