EMIT Learning is currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Transportation Staff Member to join our team. As part of our transportation team you will play an essential role in ensuring the safe and timely transport of students to and from school and related programs. Duration of Contract : New School Year 202526

Responsibilities

Safely transport students to and from school field trips and other designated locations

Ensure the safety and well-being of all students during transit

Assist students entering and exiting vehicles including those with special needs

Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of transportation vehicles

Follow established routes and schedules while adhering to traffic and safety regulations

Communicate effectively with school staff parents and administrators regarding transportation needs or issues

Report any incidents mechanical issues or delays promptly

Support students in maintaining respectful and safe behavior during transportation

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required

Valid California drivers license; commercial drivers license (CDL) with passenger and school bus endorsements preferred

Clean driving record and ability to pass background and drug screenings

Experience working with school-aged children preferred

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Patience reliability and a commitment to safety

Ability to follow directions and maintain professionalism under all circumstances
