Job Title : Software Engineer – Data Migration (AWS | NodeJS | Go | Python)

Location : Plano, TX[Hybrid]

Duration : 6 months

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our Data Migration team responsible for transitioning data to Gen 3 systems. The ideal candidate has a strong background in JavaScript / TypeScript, NodeJS, Go, and Python, with hands-on experience building scalable services in AWS.

This role involves working on data migration pipelines, automation scripts, and infrastructure components while collaborating with cross-functional teams on ad hoc development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities :

Previous experience working with client is required.

Design, develop, and maintain scalable services and tools to support data migration to Gen 3 platforms.

Build and optimize data processing pipelines using modern languages such as Go, NodeJS, and Python.

Collaborate with architecture and platform teams to ensure secure, reliable, and high-performance solutions.

Work with AWS services (Lambda, ECS, S3, DynamoDB, CloudFormation, etc.) to deploy and manage applications.

Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical documentation.

Support ad hoc engineering initiatives outside of the migration effort as needed.

Required Skills & Experience :

Strong programming experience with JavaScript / TypeScript, NodeJS, Go, and Python.

Hands-on experience with AWS ecosystem and cloud-native development.

Proven track record in data migration, ETL pipelines, or distributed data systems.

Experience with version control (Git), CI / CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker).

Familiarity with REST APIs, asynchronous processing, and microservice design patterns.

Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills in production environments.

Preferred Qualifications :

Knowledge of Gen 3 systems and internal migration processes.

Experience with Terraform, AWS CDK, or similar IaC tools.

Understanding of event-driven architectures (Kafka, SNS / SQS).

Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a fast-paced, Agile environment.
